Chosen Solution Hello everyone.Recently my 2015 MacBook Pro fans have been going crazy as well as the CPU throttling. Going into a temp sensor app indicates that heatpipe 2,3 & heatpipe outgoing air has a temperature of 128C (see photos) which is causing the kernel to think the Mac is overheating and the fans are on 6500 RPM all the time. I can’t even use FaceTime at all because it needs to “cool down” when it’s already freezing where I live....

Chosen Solution My 1996 toyota herself fan belts are squealing. Replace or tighten them it’s getting worse I’m not familiar with that particular vehicle but generally in the older cars with v-belts driving the alternator, fan and water pump, the belt will begin slipping with wear and must be adjusted tighter. Usually means loosening an adjustment (like an alternator bolt or two) and tightening the belt. If the belt has been slipping for a long period of time, it’s probably glazed and burned, requiring replacement....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have a Motorola MG7540 Cable modem capable of up to 686 Mbps. My ISP is providing 250 Mbps download speed. Is there any issue here? Am i correct in thinking that it will never need more than the 250 Mbps that the ISP is providing? Hi Jacob, Please share ISP you are using. One way to confirm, you can actually call your cable provider to confirm. I guess is to just provide them the MAC address and they will do the provisioning at their backend....

Chosen Solution Hi Everyone, A few days ago the loudspeaker in my iPhone 5s suddenly stopped working. No water damage, no drops, no distortion prior, nothing… it was working one minute then literally the next it wasn’t. I’ve reset settings, checked that it’s not stuck in headphones mode, updated to iOS11 and the headphones work fine. I had changed the battery 1 week prior but the loudspeaker had no obvious issues afterwards, and seemed to function correctly....

Chosen Solution When I hook the battery cable up it jumps fire and then the alternator starts smoking any suggestions to what is going on @steveb34 short circuit either in the plug or the alternator itself. Of course you have the battery connected properly….let us know what you have checked thus far. It will also help if you tell us the exact year and model of your Toyota

I think this post includes files which will work with openboardview software, but don’t recall for certain. Definitely will work if you have access to to Flex BV, which is excellent. But paid software.

Chosen Solution In an attempt to replace the rear camera, the small black insert spaces for one of the SEVERAL ribbon cables broke or was broken, the top portion where pins are located. This is the connector I didn’t discover this until after putting in the new camera. I was extremely careful when handling the cable and connector but I believe the connecting socket was already damaged and removing the ribbon and yellow tape delivered the killing blow....

Chosen Solution I have an Asus T100TA. Everything was working fine and then all of a sudden I have a white screen. I have tried to do a reset by holding down the power button for 10 sec. but it wouldn’t do anything. It has now been unplugged for 3 days (so I thought the battery would die) but when I hold down the power button, I keep getting the white screen....

Chosen Solution Which drive is better? I would say it’s more an issue of what you can get in the size you want and the cost. Apple’s custom Samsung SSPOLARIS drives are expensive and hard to find (often used), $760 for the 2TB. Whereas the OWC Aura Pro x2 is only $470 for the 2TB. Update (09/10/2021) @ohvtbear - Speed is not always easy to define as the given system the drive is used in also becomes a factor....

Chosen Solution I have been facing autofocus issue with Tamron 70-300mm VC USM lens on Nikon D5300. The camera autofocuses fine through viewfinder but it is not able to autofocus at all in liveview, the lens just hunts for autofocus but not being able to autofocus in the end. The camera autofocuses fine in both liveview and viewfinder with all other lenses, which rules out the possibility of being something wrong with the camera....

Chosen Solution Took me ages to get this thing to snap open, and now it looks like I ruined the battery connector while trying to release the brown thing keeping the cable in place. Just after I had finally managed to get around that cursed metal casing… I tried putting the socket back and it seemed ok, but nothing happened when I reattached the battery flex cable. Is this something I could realistically fix at home?...

Chosen Solution I’ve changed my HDD with a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB and from day 1 I’ve experienced that the battery lasts incredibly less than it used to do. Battery duration has decreased by a good 30%. I know that for the first couple of days you might experience a sensible battery duration drop but now it has been installed for more than 2 weeks. More infos about my Mac: I’ve replaced the optical drive with the old HDD and combined it with the new SSD into a Fusion Drive....

Chosen Solution I’ve got a two-year-old Bose Soundlink Revolve portable speaker with a 12-hour battery. I always keep it plugged in; it’s in my office on a shelf. It occasionally announces, “The battery is at 100%” or “The battery is at 90%,” etc. Recently, this percentage has been dropping rapidly and is now down to 30%. The Bose manual, website and other sources just say to “Replace the battery.” But they don’t say how....

Chosen Solution Everything on my front loader has been checked from top to bottom including the bearings. new pulley and belt, as well threadlocker being applied to drum bolt and pulley yet still coming off! What do I do?! Hi @ambi16 , Did you make sure that the belt is aligned in the centre of the pulley? Here’s an image showing how to adjust the alignment of the belt if it is not correct....

Chosen Solution i have black this vertical line on samsung led tv… please help Dulan Wijesundara check the ribbon cables going from your T-con board to your panel. Make sure there are no small tears etc. Check that they are inserted straight into the connector and that the connector makes proper contact. Update (12/01/2017) Apply some gentle pressure on the TAB’s and see if the image changes. I just had this same large black stripe going down my tv and I contacted Samsung, they had me do a power loop....

Chosen Solution I plugged in a 6v charger to camera , it flaged, one and doest work after that Hi, Check if fuses FU601 & FU602 are both OK. Hopefully the DC/DC converter wasn’t affected Here’s an image taken from the service manual for the camera, showing the location and Canon part number for the fuses. If a fuse has blown search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best....

Chosen Solution I just replaced the camera on an S6 Edge (SM-G925A) with a new unit and it’s showing a “Camera failed” error whenever I open the Camera app. I used the test mode (#0#) and confirmed that Mega Cam wasn’t working. I put the original camera unit back in the phone and still get the same error. The connector on the cameras and the connector on the board both look pretty clean....

Chosen Solution I have installed a 256 gig sd card in my 7th gen ipod, I have around 49,000 tracks on itunes when i sync all of them my ipod re sets itself when i try and play anything. Is there any way to change the 50,000 song limit on my ipod without using rockbox. No, unfortunately, this is an Apple hard limit.
