Chosen Solution Hi guys, I found a burnt socket in my laptop today. It is not burnt heavily, should simple replacement of DC power jack work? How do I find out if the socket or motherboard is not damaged? I have multimeter at home. What was the cause? I am gonna check charger too. Thank you. Chosen Solution Ignition coil is working crank sensor brand new getting power to every thing expect the coils an it won’t fire. I’m thinking the computer is bad any ideas? Well if it isnt getting power to the coil, it could be something wrong with the coil wire. I would follow the wire to its source and see if you notice any damage or loose connections with it.

Robin Zimmerman, your phone stores all that information on a hardwired memory IC. This memory can only be accessed by using a special NAND IC reader. There is no simple way of recovering that information. There are companies out there that do have that equipment, but it is very costly to get it done....

Chosen Solution I need some help. About 6 months ago, I had modified an iPod Classic (4th gen) from 60 GB to 128GB using two 64GB microSD cards and iFlash Dual. I running out of space, so I tried to increase the storage to 320GB (a new 256GB + one of the existing 64GB cards). So, I replaced the 64-GB card on slot 1 with the 256GB card. Chosen Solution I have an HP Pavilion dv7-1235NR laptop that was given to me to take a look at. The computer powers on but the screen stays black. Chosen Solution I dropped my Nexus 6. It still works, including the touch screen, except that the screen doesn’t turn on. The glass is cracked, but like I stated touch does work. The phone boots up and powers down as expected. I can receive phone calls and talk on the phone. I can use voice commands via “OK Google” to have it read my text messages when they are received and to reply to them....

So do you guys think oven method is suitable for solving this problem. If I bake it would it completely dies? @mrbaran before you decided to cook/bake things make sure that you check the boards first. The clicking could also be coming from a bad power board....
