Hi James In my case it was two inductors on the logic board are broken and that’s why the phone doesn’t hold battery. I would suggest to open the phone, remove the metal protections on the motherboard and inspect for any damaged components....

What is it for and how do I reattach it?. Thanks If you look there should be a piece of black tape covering 2 other cables similar to the ones you are describing, those are your wifi and cellular connections you can simply push them back down into place

As far as I know the logic board would start as soon as the power cable is connected if there is no battery installed. But will it also boot from the USB volume? Is there any way the phone could still be in tact? Would the NAND flash memory chip still be in tact or is everything gone? Chosen Solution Replaced the OEM 250GB hard drive with a 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD. Booted from a Win10 DVD and it saw the drive, formatted it, and installed Windows without complaint. Booted up, went into audit mode, started pulling Windows updates. Again, everything looked good. When it went to reboot after installing updates, the computer hung on the HP logo screen. No chasing-dots, just the HP logo. I had it siting there for an hour before I powered it off....

Chosen Solution So after replacing the battery successfully everything works fine except the Camera which won’t even open. Although the battery regalement never involved touching the camera connection etc and all looks ok, the Camera won’t open. Very frustrating and puzzling. Maybe you need a new camera module, before you replaced the battery was the camera working oké?

Yes, you’ll have to buy the display assembly as one piece (with frame is preferred) as both the glass and the OLED panel are both damaged....
