Chosen Solution Busted head due to water freezing Depends. 1. Where crack is on the head 2. Is there a welder in your area willing and qualified to do it? My experience has been to never weld one. Find a reconditioned one or a junk yard one then take it to machine shop to have checked out. Sorry, no easy way on this one.
Chosen Solution I have both a 20" and 27" iMac. I want to swap the hard drives and give the other to my daughter. the 20" has a 2tb hd that is partitioned using 1tb for mac and 1 for windows. I don’t want to lose my data and wonder if I could just take out the hd and swap it. Any thoughts? May be here is the solution, please see it…....

Chosen Solution I broke off the cables. Can I replace them somehow? The screen is still original, so I don’t really want to buy a china copy. It’s a 7. Just put anew screen in. £40 for a decent one. There is no real way of replacing those cables unless you replace the whole screen. the cables are extremely, if not impossible to replace. Sorry for the bad news…

When I tried to lift the screen, the home button and the metal backing for the screen remained stuck in the phone. The home button cable (which is attached to the screen) prevents me from lifting the screen to no more than 1/4 inch....

Chosen Solution My iPhone 4 incurred full water damage (all indicators are pink) however the only issue is the backlight. The issue is most likely due to the coil and IC. Sending the phone in would cost me $100 at least to repair without guarantee, and a replacement would cost $199 through Verizon. I don’t have a 100x microscope nor steady hands to solder a new coil and/or IC. After further research I found the LED backlight cable from the front screen and was wondering if I could run those cables outside of the phone and power them to an external battery with a regular on/off switch....

Chosen Solution Hey all! I got a Ibook g3 12". The backlight works fine when the computer just booted and you don’t touch the LCD. The second the computer moves even the slightest bit the backlight cuts out and won’t come on till you reboot. Need help ASAP. Chosen Solution My ipod has had trouble with battery life. I will let it charge to full capacity, then walk out with it and within 5 minutes the battery bar falls to 75%, then 50%, then back to 75%, then 25%, etc. Then recently it kept freezing every time I selected a song. It was so bad I wasn’t able to do anything but let it sit and come back the next day and try again....
Chosen Solution replacement battery (from ifixit) charge initially, then after a day or so showed dead. I did the shift/control/option/power reset which worked. After another day or so battery showing dead, not fixed by reset. Is there a way to test the battery? Is there some other possible problem?
