Chosen Solution I have two iPads (first gen, wifi) one has black and colored lines/ bars through a portion of the screen, but turns on and responds to touch. The other does not turn on and is not recognized by iTunes, so I presume that the LCD is fine. I switched the LCD’s (along with digitizes) and the working iPads screen is now black: no backlight, picture, etc. I can turn it on and can hear the unlock sound when I swipe in the area near the slide to unlock....

Chosen Solution I am trying to sync my smart bracelet and it’s not syncing for some reason? I’m trying to re set my Bluetooth settings but I don’t know how? Try Settings –> General –> Reset –> Reset Network Settings This will force reset your bluetooth in the operating system. Restart the phone and try pairing the bluetooth again

Chosen Solution Prior to this issue, my Iphone 6’s screen was popping outwards because the battery was swelling. I purchased the ifixit kit to replace the battery, and I successful did that. However, I noticed that the bottom portion of my iphone’s screen is not responsive. I can click on the apps on the bottom portion, but the very bottom of the screen where the screen ends does not respond. I can’t pull up the dock when the phone is vertical....

Chosen Solution I just replaced the front panel assembly after breaking my screen. When I boot up, the bottom quarter or so of the screen is bad–only black or vertical blue or green lines. Can someone help me diagnose the problem and suggest a fix? Many thanks. Tom Your screen is damaged, there’s a big impact point in the bottom right corner. You will need to get a new screen unfortunately....

Chosen Solution I have a nissan hardbody 2.4 16v pick up. I replaced both brake pads, calipers and tried to bleed, still the car is failing to brake.So what might be the problem? if pedal feels spongy try to bleed it again in X pattern (farthest rear wheel next opposite side front wheel and nearest rear wheel and opposite side front wheel) also can be master brake cylinder problem…. if pedal feels hard I suspect brake booster…...

Chosen Solution So I just ordered a new top assembly and battery for my macbook. I used it just fine for a week, then my trackpad started sticking down. I had to open it up and pry the battery off from the middle a little to get it to click again, and even then, the action is a little sticky. Was there some sort of cover I was supposed to put down to keep the trackpad from sticking to the battery?...

Can I get that repaired and if so how much. We don’t offer repair services, we help people help them selves doing their own repair. This sounds like you need to find a good shoe cobbler near you to see if they can help you....

Chosen Solution My 2012 retina logic board died. OOOFFFF. 2.7GHz 16Gb ram Will a 2014 2.2GHz 16Gb ram A1398 logic board fit my case? (Retina A1398 15" mid 2012) Thanks in advance for useful tips! They are very similar but there are a few differences which makes switching them out not possible. The headphone jack & the trackpad are both very different between the logic boards.

Chosen Solution Having an issue updating Mac Pro 4,1 to 5,1 firmware. After following the instructions for set up (disable SIP, have 1.5 pkg on the desktop), when trying to run the firmware tool I get “This program requires Internet Access. Please connect your Mac Pro to the Internet and Try Again” even though I am connected with ethernet. I can not find a solution. Firewall on the Mac is off so I am at a loss....

Chosen Solution I got my iPad fixed by a repair shop and it has these weird lines up and across the screen, this happened ever since it got replaced. If they’re a good reputable shop, they would put a warranty that covers in defects in parts and/or workmanship, at least that’s the case in my shop. Bring it back to them and ask what they can do. I perform and record a functionality test before I attempt any repairs on any device along with sending the results to my customer via email....

Chosen Solution Why is my touch screen acting erraticly when its on the charger My touch screen acts erratically when I plug it in to the charger. If I unplug it the screen works fine. My screen is erratic when i use a cheap charger that didn’t come with it. It does fine on the charger that came with it and also the Samsung charger that came with my wife’s camera....

Chosen Solution I’ve had this Casper Glow Light for a couple years. Now the battery doesn’t last very long and I have to keep it on the dock. Occasionally, it’s not in the dock quite right and by morning time when the light is supposed to wake me up, it doesn’t turn on. There’s only two buttons on the thing on either end and those are the only two possible access points....

Chosen Solution I have a 5th generation 30 GB iPod that will not play music through the headphone jack or in my car through a usb adapter to my car stereo. The iPod tells me that the music is playing, but no music comes out. I do not think that it is a headphone jack problem, because my iPod would play in my car perfectly fine if it was just the headphone jack....

Chosen Solution Put in larger SSD, machine ran no problems. Now DEAD. No gong, no fans, nada zip. Did SMC reset, still dead. Tried different charger, still dead. MagSafe shows amber light. SMC reset turns it green, then goes back to amber. Removed battery connector and tried to start with just charger cable, no battery; still dead. There are 4 gold contacts on top of battery connector: I get ~3.25v on each side, total ~6....

Chosen Solution After upgrading to Yosemite, I have seen that there is a Handoff Breakdown With Activation Tool http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php… for older macs. As Handoff needs bluetooth 4.0 to work, there are instructions on the post about if and which cards are needed to upgrade non bluetooth 4.0 macs… Apart from my mid 2010 macbook. Does anyone know if its possible and which bluetooth/wifi card i need to upgrade my bluetooth so I can use Handoff?...

Chosen Solution I seem to have broken the display data connector on the display itself. Not on the logic board. I was reassembling the iMac and the display slipped and pulled the lvds cable out of the display. The connector itself seems slightly lifted and display doesn’t show an image. I can tell the machine is on and functioning because I can navigate using voice over. is there any way to fix the connector on the display without replacing the entire display?...
