Chosen Solution Hello, I see the keyboard can be replaced for this MacBook (A1708, 14,1). I’m looking all over the web to find if/how the keyboard can be removed/installed and, so far, I haven’t found anything. I see they are available for sale at iFixIt for $149.99 (Item code: IF123-121-1), but, again, not sure how difficult it would be to replace. If anyone can point me to a link revealing how this is done please share....

Chosen Solution SO my 5s was being very temperamental when charging, only when cable was pressed in a certain way, so I have purchased a new lightning ass’y and battery. Now after replacent when cable is inserted it boots up,as if it recognises, but not charging. Next steps? just figure I would ask, have you tried using a different Apple Certified charging cable? You have no idea how many cables I’ve bought the last few months xD ended with one from amazon that had good reviews and worked ok at first

Chosen Solution My TV is actually model UN65MU6500 coffee got spilled on it and now it just turns on and off with a black screen. It acts like it wants to come on then goes back black. And just keeps repeating over and over. Kyron Perks at this time you want to stop trying to turn it on. Unplug it and do not use it. The constant on-off attempt can make an already bad situation worse....

The only issue I’m having is that most replacements I’ve found are 7.4v instead of the 7.2v batteries. I did find some 7.2v batteries but they’re unavailable or shipping is very expensive. Chosen Solution A few keys on my HP 1030 g3 have stopped working. Specificaly q, r, t, a, shift, and a few others randomly. Canned air from the keyboard side didn’t work. Suggestions? @ntmoore bad keyboard matrix or bad keyboard flex cable. The keyboard is considered part of the top cover HP part number L31882-001. It appears that it is possible to replace it separately if you can find a replacement (lots of very small screws ;-) part number should be 918018-001 for the US keyboard....

Chosen Solution does anyone else have problems with isopropyl ruining the seal on the plunger of a syringe? I generally keep a syringe filled with methanol on my work bench and have never had an issue. Of course methanol is a pure alcohol with no water added. A gallon will usually last me for over 5 years.

Chosen Solution I got the laptop completely torn down and have a replacement jack. I could not for the life of me get the DC Jack to come loose. I tried a heat gun and soldering iron and it won’t budge at all. Thanks in advance! @thebiguke definitely no fun. Use of Kapton tape on surrounding parts will be required. Preheat the board (I try to keep it around 80 deg C to 90 deg C) Then use lots of flux, soldering braid and a nice chisel tip for your soldering iron should work....

I have a donor motherboard with a good port and I need to replace it on my AGS – 101. Update (09/26/2022) Here is the image Hi I would remove it by applying low metal solder to the visible pins on the board then remove it using a hot air rework station to avoid melting the plastic on opposite side of the board to the connector That’s the way I remove delicate connectors when I’m soldering Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)

Can I take out the display from Air 2016 and use it in my Air 2017? Are there any technical differences in the connections or such? YES. Chosen Solution I don’t know who Apple ID is locking me out of my ipad 4. I thought I set it up. Apple Store wasn’t any help. Screen say Activation Lock If you don’t know the Apple ID accociated with the device, then any effort to use it will be futile. The only thing you can try to do is contact the original owner and ask them to turn off Find My iPad - assuming that the iPad isn’t lost of stolen, of course....

Chosen Solution I’m watching an anime until such time, I have noticed that the sounds sound crack. it fells once, 30 minutes before I noticed the crack of sound. do you guys have fix for it. thanks for the answer. Sounds like it’s possible you damaged the speaker in the drop. This can be replaced fairly easily. Like @jdent said, you’ll need to replace your loud speaker. Chosen Solution Do aftermarket home buttons still work as I read that Apple had something in plan where aftermarket home buttons with lcd’s don’t work only the original button that came with the phone works. Is this still a thing or has it been removed? Thank you Has been so since the iPhone 5s.
