Chosen Solution I need to change my s5 screen and I came up on one for 150 euros here on Ifixit. From the photos the back looks the same as the original provided by samsung. The price is high, but I am willing to spend if it is original, so are they? Or they are “replacements”? Some iFixit parts are used, working parts, which are original, genuine Samsung parts. It’s likely that brand new ones are not, but they are some of the best quality available on the Net....
Chosen Solution I currently have an Asus Memo Pad 7 that won’t charge. I’ve tried replacing the cord and that doesn’t do anything. At one point the tablet finally came back on for about a second and showed the empty battery icon then shut off. I’m thinking that it may be the battery and that I’ll need a new one. Chosen Solution I bought a TV 2nd hand, has an issue where the backlight works, and you can see it “highlighting” different portions of the screen, but no picture. I replaced the TCON board with two different boards and same result. The service manual says that you can unplug the LVDS cables from the TCON to enter display “test mode” which will display test patterns. These do not come up either....

I got a replacement battery and this cable is a bit different than the one on the original battery and the wire inside is exposed. Just want to be safe and hope it’s okay. Thanks! It looks like you’ve pulled the battery board fully off the battery assembly. The cable end is attached to the battery where a thermal sensor sits with a second on the end of the thin cable....
Chosen Solution Was it getting really good battery life the moment Apple replaced it? Not sure about that app, but cycle counts should be for each individual battery and not the lifetime of the phone. Put that battery Apple installed back in and take it to Apple and have them check the cycle counts. If it really is 1258 cycles, that’s literally impossible if you bought it back in Oct of 2015 (if it really is a new battery)....

You will be able to locate the problem by measuring the pins on the touch FPC connector. Measure in diode mode with “red probe on ground” and compare with known good board or board view software. There is a zero Ohm resistor that sometimes fails....
Chosen Solution Installed a new battery but it will not charge past 92%. Is it a defective battery? hello, it looks like battery bus faulty. However, you will get a similar effect if the processor control line has a problem. Need to take it apart and look at it. I’m betting on battery failure at this point. If you still have the old battery, plug it in and check charging. If that will be ok, you’ve got an answer....
Chosen Solution My cousin dropped my note 3. The phone still produces sound and it still responds to my touch, i see no crack on the screen but the screen is only black now. Chosen Solution After the Mac not starting up i made a bootable installer when prompted to install el capitan error message this copy install os x el capitan can’t be verified. It may be damaged or was manipulated when it was downloaded. I made a new bootable installer on 4 different usb drives 16gb but get same error code. Attempts to restore or download os x on the faulty mac everything seems to work fine untill the end of the process....

Hi, If your laptop’s motherboard has bent or broken pins, see the Motherboard Has a Bent or Broken Pin problem page for information and tips. You did not tell us what manufacturer and model number it is. If you are handy with a pencil soldering iron it can be replaced. If you determine the age of the board and the total replacement say eBay has one....
Chosen Solution I have a old gateway 2000 case that’s has ATX motherboard screw holes. The pci card slots are in the right place. But the power supply is different but I think a SFX PSU will work. All I need to work on is the fixed IO shield. I’m not sure it’s worth trying to build a new computer in this case? I’m not sure if this is a off topic question....

Chosen Solution Hi! I replaced the screen for iPhone 6s plus. Now the cameras arent working. If I havent plugged the front camera connection in, then the both cameras are black. If I disconnect the front camera the rear camera starts working fine. If rear cam works after disconnecting front cam then you’ll need to replace the front camera assembly.
