Chosen Solution So I’ve been trying for a few days now to get this bolt off and can’t do it. I’ve tried multiple extensions and swivel sockets along with the 5mm hex socket drive. The inside torx is stripped but the 10mm is not I can’t get the right angle for it to hold onto the bolt. Could I somehow weld something to the bolt?? Welding something to it is not a good idea....

There was no visible damage to the phone or screen, so I assumed it was either the battery or the charging port, I replaced the battery, but the phone still didn’t turn on, so I tried a new screen and it worked. Then when I transferred all the components from the old screen to the new screen, it won’t turn on again....

About a week later, when I woke up this morning now the laptop is showing an X through the battery icon and in greyed out letters it says “No Battery Available” . Chosen Solution Laptop came to me with the issue of “randomly turning off”. After some experimentation I was able to confirm this. It turns off immediately, as if there were a thermal problem. When it shuts off it will not turn on again until/unless you first press and hold the pinhole reset button on the side of the laptop for several seconds. Once you do that the battery/power LED will come back on, and pressing the power button will (sometimes) turn the computer back on....

No lights at all on the panel , can’t switch the front defrost on, though I think thats the mode it’s stuck in. No temp control so it blows hot air. Chosen Solution I replaced the battery from iifit. I have black and white vertical lines on the screen. I have taken it back apart 6 times and reset every cable and no difference. Could something else be wrong? Has anyone else had this experience with an ifixit battery? Could it be the wrong amperage/voltage compared to an Apple battery? Try a new screen. Can this be repaired? yes you would need an lcd and glass assembly and it can be done easily If you don’t want to spend the money on an lcd you can get just the glass, loca glue, and a UV light for less than the LCD/Glass assembly. but then you need to take it apart which can be tedious....
