MacBook Airs have not featured a user replaceable or upgradable hard drive since the 2017 model. The storage comes in the form of NAND flash chips soldered directly to the motherboard. From what I know, it may be possible to upgrade to a higher storage capacity, but it would require at a minimum the ability to desolder the existing chips and solder new, larger ones into the board....

I have repaired a large number of these with out issue but I have had 2 (my personnel one included) that have caused me issues. I do checks before all repairs and make sure that the devices charge at least 2%. I always disconnect the battery before LCD removal....

After recommended battery calibration, full charge and complete discharge by the computer, the battery is not charging anymore. bios tells battery charging status: idle, health status: excellent, no power is transferred to the battery I am left with 2% battery life in the new one....
