Chosen Solution Hi! I have an iPhone 5s which is not working (won’t connect to iTunes or power up, and it has a shattered screen). I don’t really have a desire to spend much money on fixing this phone so I am trying to do everything possible before ordering new parts. I suspect that the charging port/battery is defective. Therefore, I’ve been googling online to try and find a way to ‘boost’ the battery back to life....
Chosen Solution My iMac shows black screen at startup and repeatedly chimes (normal chime - not the diagnostic beeps) until I press the power key again to switch it off. Have tried (with USB keyboard) resetting SMC, resetting PRAM/NVRAM, entering safe mode etc (as here https://www.howtogeek.com/189104/trouble...). No success. Still same problem. Any thoughts? Chosen Solution I was reshelling my DS lite and when I got to the point where I needed to test it, the bottom screen powers up normally and interacts perfectly normal. However, the top screen, as mentioned above, does nothing. I’ve yet to see anyone with this particular issue- look for yourself. http://imgur.com/jCiTULp I checked the ribbon cable connections several times but they’re plugged in all the way. A thought that occurred to me- is one of the ribbon cables perhaps upside down?...
Chosen Solution my hp 2000 notebook screen is blank.it will work with external moniter connected Hi joe, Your graphic card unit on the motherboard (integrated) still works. That is a good sign. So, its seems that you need to replace the LED LCD unit. If the notebook is no longer under guarantee, I would give it a try and invest in a new LED LCD unit. You find one here or here for around $50....
Chosen Solution PS4 makes a loud wrrrrrrrr sound when i press the power button and looks like its booting up with a light but shows no display on TV then shuts down. One time i managed to get it to work but it sounded super loud and then crashed in the middle of a game. There is also a “clink” noises constently when turned off but plugged in The issues is overheating that can be caused by too much accumulated dust or over current....

Chosen Solution I have a Samsung LN46A530P1FXZC television and for some reason it won’t turn on. After moving (wasn’t dropped) when plugging the power cord in, I can’t seem to get any power to the set and it won’t turn on. Is it shot? or is there a fix. Lovjoy, of course you made sure it was properly plugged in and the plug has power. If so, you should (unplugged of course) open the TV up and check the power fuse....

Chosen Solution Adding second SSD to HP 24 AIO not detected on BIOS So entering the BIOS there’s no place I can spot where I can see the Hard Drives, only in the HP System Diagnostics the Boot/Main SSD is shown as Nvme, but the board has an unused SATA connector I plugged a second SSD onto. It’s just like if the BIOS has wiped the whole section where you define the storage devices…....
Chosen Solution I have a Samsung 60", S60fh-yd06 model. After a storm, no power. No red light at the bottom. There is no manual power button on this unit. Any help is appreciated. Scott Scaff sounds like you do not get power to the TV. Unplug the set and remove the back. Then check for obvious damage on the boards like domed and/ or leaking caps etc. Check the fuses with for continuity....
Chosen Solution After replacing the screen on an att iPhone 6 I have no display and when it’s plugged in it keeps making the “just plugged in” tone every 10 seconds or so. I put the original screen back on and still the same. I tried resetting but never saw the apple logo. iPhone 6 long screw damage = no backlight. This is the same as the iPhone 5s blue screen of death problem....

This happened once before while unit under warranty and recall repair man somehow using a hair dryer to defrost. How do I remove that panel. Chosen Solution Hi, I changed the inverter on my macbook pro santa rosa (a1226) because there was no backlight anymore. Its a glossy screen and I put an inverter from the same model but from a mate screen. The problem is when I put the battery on, the screen is lighting.. when I power on the Mac book, it works well, I have my screen back but when I press light up or light down on the keyboard, it has no effect on the screen....
Chosen Solution I recently bought a new battery for my MBP 15inch as the old battery had over 1500 cycles on it and was not holding a charge. I followed the relatively simple instructions to replace and lo and behold the new battery worked just fine. Indeed the capacity was larger than the design capacity when fully charged. I can’t remember the exact number but it was over 9000mAh. Looking at the battery healy now i can see that this has diminished to 7953mAh whilst the design capacity is 8755mAh....
