Chosen Solution Hi, I bought myself a wireless solar keyboard which worked perfectly until I poured some drink into it. I dissasembled it and washed it in distilled water and isopropyl alcohol. Upon battery replacement, the keyboard worked well until the battery became flat. In the photos is non-rechargeable batter cr2032, however the rechargeable had same results. I am getting appropriate voltage from the solar cells but the rechargeable LED-indicator doesn’t light up upon pressing the button and the battery eventually runs flat....

Chosen Solution I received my nano 4th generation with what was supposed to be a non working battery. I could connect the ipod to a power source and it worked fine until I disconnected it and then it said battery too low so I replaced with a brand new battery. But I still have the same problem. I can connect ipod to a power source (outlet, computer, dock) and it works fine until I disconnect it and it shuts down....

Chosen Solution Able tv is on, blue ray player comes on without being opened and closes cable signal CEC is likely turned on, if you have a newer samsung tv this option should be called “Anynet+”, turning that off might fix your problem.

Chosen Solution I replaced my rear facing camera with the new one offered here on ifixit and now the replacement will not focus. I can touch the screen in the camera app to change the focus but all it does is focus in and out and return to a blurry image. However, objects close to the phone will be totally in focus all the time. It’s like the focus is stuck in one position....

Chosen Solution Dead battery in this case is one that will NOT charge. When I plug the phone into the wall, the screen shows the ITunes logo (recovery mode). When I plug the phone into the computer, nothing happens. Can the battery be the cause or is something else broken / damaged in the phone? Use a powered USB hub to restore it or recover data. If it is water damaged then you will have to take it apart and clean the corrosion....

Chosen Solution I woke up yesterday and the screen on my watch had disconnected and was just dangling. See photos. The display disconnected from the case of the watch. It’s still connected by the cable connectors, and the screen is still working, but I need to re-adhere the display, if possible. Can I just add some adhesive and reconnect it without having to replace any parts? Hi @ifixitmaxb You’re with ifixit so perhaps there may be some suitable spare pieces of Tesa tape floating about that you can use to adhere the display back onto the case....

Chosen Solution The phone is a SM-G780F (4G, dual sim) with a faulty motherboard and there is a SM-G781V (5G, single sim) motherboard at a good price. Mateo Morales that is a really interesting question. Unless somebody has actually done this conversion, all we can offer is what the boards look like. Here is the G780F and here the G781V it appears as if the mounting holes and connectors as well as dimension are pretty close (I don’t want to say identical) At this time, if the board has the right price and if it is possible to return it if it does not fit....

Chosen Solution 2001 honda accord - green key light on dash does not always come on. When it comes on the car will start. If it doesn’t come on it will not start. Never can tell when it will come on- its intermitent. Car has died only 2 times while driving. I have 4 programed keys and it happens with all the keys (its’ not the chip in the key) i think it is either the immobilizer, steering switch, or is it some random ground problem....

After removing the circuit board, you’ll need to remove the back cover for the top screen or the hinge-pin won’t move. On the hinge side (not the side with the ribbon cables and wifi antenna) you will see the white part of the hinge pin....

Chosen Solution Hi All, The story started a week ago when my macbook air shutdown unexpectedly at 30% battery in 2 consecutive days. Every time it gives me the battery sign and after connecting the charger it takes several attempts on the power button to turn it on. It didn’t happen again since these 2 times and I took it to apple store, they run some diagnostics and the technician told me that there is nothing wrong with the macbook and he suggested to restore the software as it might be the solution....

Chosen Solution Are Port’s (HDMI, USB-C, Audio Jack, SD-Reader) sealed, preventing from coming in Dust, Water etc….? There are typically foam gaskets around the USB C ports in any Macbook Air or Pro, this one included but HDMI, SD card at essentially just the port flush up with the enclosure so virtually no protection from incoming liquid. Even the gaskets around the USB C ports, on previous models anyways are not been entirely effective at keeping liquids out of the interior of the computer....

Chosen Solution Recently had screen replaced but when I got it back my back button and task menu buttons do not work. Trying to figure out what would cause this and is it fixable The two buttons come with USB board. So you should check if you plug the USB board connector well with motherboard. And then check if the flex or pins of connector is broken.
