Any answers would be greatly appreciated Here’s a solution. Try the Fn key + F4. My computer has a backlight and functions the same. F4 key usually increases the backlight and the F3 key usually decreases it. Try the FN key + F4 and see if it works....

Chosen Solution My 12 y/o whirlpool duet suddenly started shaking & vibrating terrible. It’s level and sits on cement. The drum isn’t loose. Could a shock absorber or spring go bad so quickly to cause violent shaking? Also there’s a small amount of water in the drum but it’s not clogged and hoses are free & clear. When i power it on the fans and hdd start up for about a sec, display stays dark, then immidiately shuts down. First thing i did, of course, is i took it to a mac autorized service (in Moscow, Russia) where they suggested it might be nvdia 8600 acting up which extends warranty period on my out of warranty mbp....

Chosen Solution I’m attempting to fix a water damaged iPhone 10. Everything is fully functional, except for the 1x camera and the control center flashlight. The 2x camera works, and so does the flash when activated by the 2x camera. I’ve tested the camera assembly with a working logic board and even tried another, confirmed working camera assembly, so it’s most likely a logic board issue. Any advice is appreciated, thanks....

Chosen Solution Hi, So my parents have this 2008 iMac, which they used a lot. The thing was sluggish , but got the job done. However recently the thing was going though some problems, the screen would randomly freeze, weird artifacts can be made out at random time’s, and worst case; the screen turns white, blue, or completely glitches into this blobby mess of pixels simultaneously freezing the device. Generally in this case, I would reset the device (as in holding the power button until the system powers down), which generally fixes the issue....

Chosen Solution Hi All Thought I’d help out a friend who had a 27” 2012 iMac with a failed HDD by replacing it. Changed loads of drives before on Windows machines so wasn’t too concerned about working on a Mac for the first time…… How wrong was I! Cut the adhesive round the screen, got the drive changed, and use a can of air to clear some of the dust in the bottom vent holes and around the machine, didn’t touch anything else....

Chosen Solution After upgrading to 10.13, mid-2012 Macbook Pro keeps getting No Entry symbol on boot up. Thought the SSD failed, replaced it with new SSD. Formatted drive, Apple checked hardware with their diagnostic tool. No problems found. Downgraded to 10.12, and still getting stuck in a No Entry/Apple Logo loop cycle for about 5 minutes, before it sometimes deciding to boot up. Chosen Solution So it seems that Apple is bricking devices repaired by third parties by stopping touch screen functionality. Seems that part manufactures have found a way around this but what if it happens every OS update? Also ambient light sensor not working after screen repair same for iPhone X. Does anyone have any insight on this issue and why its not being blown up? Not sure if this helps you, but Apple rolled out an ``Bug Fix´´-Update to fix the Touch Issue with the iOS 11....

Chosen Solution I bought a used 24 inch late 2006 iMac off ebay with the intent of turning it into an external monitor for my macbook pro by buying an LVDS controller board and then splicing the speakers so that they can be reused as well and I havent done any of this yet because as soon as the computer arrived, I noticed when playing music the speakers sounded really bad, they sounded distorted with no bass and a little crackly....

I tested the power supply and the multimeter indicated 19.5v as expected. I also tested the battery (not sure though if it is meaningful) and the expected voltage was what I read. Chosen Solution Installed a new battery after purchasing from iFixit & followed installation diligently. Worked well for approximately 3 months & one day while on charge watching a YouTube video the battery status in the menu bar suddenly showed an ‘X’ from a % value. Immediately checked coconutBattery to see what was wrong & to my surprise it showed the battery status as ‘Unknown’. This is not what I expected in terms of quality, I was hoping it would at least last for a year before starting to lose charge or capacity....

Chosen Solution Your battery is fine and the 11% degradation is normal and perfectly acceptable. However, it needs to be used occasionally. Drain it all the way down and then fully recharge it to calibrate it.

Chosen Solution As the battery replacement of this particular model is pretty much a nightmare I had mine replaced by a professional repair shop with a very good reputation. This turned out to be a complete failure. There are a lot of reports of this model having charging, charge indication and battery performance issues after a battery replacement and my iPad was also affected. Charging itself worked without issues and it also charged to 100% every time....

Chosen Solution Hey guys, I’m in a very confusing situation right now. It all started with a little water drop getting into the trackpad edge. The mouse started going all over the place, and the device became almost unusable. I got the genius idea of opening it up, and trying to clean the trackpad with alcohol, but failed in the attempt of removing the battery. I tried pouring alcohol into the edges of the battery, attempting to remove the glue, but it turned out to be much harder than expected....
