Chosen Solution I bought this asus vivobook 15 model X512FJ-EJ228T. When starting to use it I connected with my 5.0ghz wifi network without problems. I used it for a few days until I decided to check if everything was up to date on it. Chosen Solution I have a HP dv7 3089wm. The screen will light up but black screen. External vga monitor shows normal. Not sure if I need a screen or inverter should there be one within the laptop. Suspect I need either screen or inverter. Could you please give me further info so I get right part. Thanks for you help. I have checked the cable connection from screen to laptop. Unit seems to have one connector for backlight....

You can Glue it on with gorilla glue or sticky silicon glue. The inner part of the bezel is called a bezel insert, I have looked all over the net for ways to repair it and have only found one video as listed by the poster above....

Chosen Solution I replaced the HD with a SSD. I now have no screen image or back lighting. Here is where it gets intresting. I took it to Apple and they said it was the screen. They replaced the screen and the LCD cable and it did not work. They said next would be the logic board replacement but they were not sure. Apple just swamps out parts until they find the bad one....

Chosen Solution This laptop was handed down to me, by my brother. When the first USB port stopped working—several months ago—I didn’t get it repaired because I always use a usb doc anyway. Today, the second usb port stopped working. I shutdown, and restarted my laptop multiple times, but neither port seems to be working. However, on one occasion, I had my mouse plugged into the port that was previously broken, and my mouse worked for 2 minutes, then lost connection again....

Chosen Solution I was charging my S6 E+ with a random micro USB cable last night and the casing of the cable melted into the port. I was able to removed the plastic residue from the port but now it won’t charge at the proper pace and only when holding it a certain way. You have to replace the charging port. The Charging port is also connected with the touch button ribbon cables which is underneath the screen....

Chosen Solution I bought a used 5c from a friend with a previously replaced screen that was cracked. When I opened it up I noticed where you plug the front camera into on the board had missing prongs and was damaged will the phone still work with a new screen? Without the front camera flex you won’t be able to use the proximity sensor, ambient light sensors, in ear speaker or loudspeaker microphone so I wouldn’t really consider it viable unless you only want to use it as an mp3 player....

On p.44 you will find the spare parts numbers for the two display panels that are available for the model. Chosen Solution Hello! I’ve just received a white macbook from my uncle and it has Mac OS X 10.5.8 on it. I purchased a legit copy of Mac OS X Snow Leopard so I could update my mac’s software. The reason I’m upgrading to Snow Leopard is because all later mac versions including El Captain, require you to have at least Mac 10.6 to install. Once I proceed to boot from my Snow Leopard USB, all is well I select my language (English) then I wait for the install process to commence, but I come up with error, “Mac OS X can’t be installed on this computer” Thats word for word what it says, I’ve looked at a bunch of other guides on how to fix this but none have worked!...

Chosen Solution Recently completed all of the steps from this guide, using the toolkit and battery provided. After charging and booting up, the battery icon was crossed out and didn’t appear to be recognised correctly. Tried resetting the SMC but didn’t change anything. I noticed that the battery board data cable popped right out of the battery side connector without being unlocked while i was removing it from the logic board side (tbh i wasn’t using much force at all, so not sure what happened)....

If I have access to a 2018 display, will it be a direct swap? Are the connections the same on the motherboard between the 2016 and 2018? I know that the connections for the iPhone 6s/7/8s are different despite the displays having the same dimensions and fitting....

Chosen Solution Hello, I replaced my screen on my iPhone today with the ifixit kit and now the 3D Touch is insanely sensitive. Even if I turn it up to firm I’ll touch something and it will instantly go to 3D. This is much more annoying than I thought it would be. Thanks for any help! Chosen Solution my laptop acer aspire e5-471-35sl bios flash and now power is not open .not charging First of all, try removing the battery and turning it on with only the powersupply plugged in. If that doesn’t work try to insert the powersupply and wiggle it a bit, if it feels like the part that the powersupply is plugged into (the dc connector) is loose or follows the power plug without resistance to the wiggle, it will probably need to be replaced or resoldered onto the motherboard....

Chosen Solution After repairing the camera, when trying to re-setup face unlock this message pops up and cancels the setup “Enrollment was not completed, certificate expired“ The problem is that the camera module is tied to each board. I can confirm this. Pucchaced an At&t pixel 4 on ebay that wasn’t working. And another unlocked version with a broken screen. Now the damage to the screen was at the top close to the modules....

What is possible problem and solution? hello FlatMountains :-) (nice nick), according to my experience, most screen problems are damaging of flex when connect/disconnect. You need check and test flex tapes. Probably one (or more) has a split on power or sensor rail....
