Chosen Solution The phone of my girlfriend fell on the ground. The screen is not broken but we only see a black screen with some stripes in it. The stripes sometimes change position if I restart the phone. I would try to repair the phone but I don’t know which part I need to repair. I hope somebody can help me ok so basically your screen is multilayered, just because the glass on the surface is good doesn’t mean the LCD underneath is not damaged....
Chosen Solution I have a Logitech G27 racing wheel, the buttons and the shifters on the wheel it’s self have stopped working, I have pin pointed the problem being the wire that goes from the wheel to the base of the wheel, do you sell these wires or components? Maybe a bit late, but this might help someone else coming across this question. You probably won’t be able to buy a assembled wire, however if you can find someone or learn the skills required to assemble it it should be easily replaceable....

Chosen Solution For the record, I’m not using the original power supply that came with the calculator to charge, however it should do fine. (1A 5V) When I plug the cord into the calculator, the red light appears, then the calculator turns on. The red light starts flashing. The calculator does not seem to acknowledge the charging. The strange thing was that when I removed the battery, the light just stayed green, but the calculator wouldn’t turn on, so the cable is working, right?...

Chosen Solution My employment requires personal phones to have its cameras destroyed or completely removed for security purposes. Will an iPhone 12 continue to function normally (with Face ID off) even if all cameras are removed? Why would your employment require you to destroy your personal property? Can you just not use it during work or block the cameras with tape? Apple really hates things to be not present on their devices, usually their software won’t stop asking for things that are supposed to be there, this at minimum causes the software to loop all the time and drains battery, worst case scenario it won’t even boot....
Chosen Solution My 30 inch cinema display has a 3 mm thick black vertical line exactly in the centre. It started as a thin red line and got a bit thicker and black after a few days. I have it connected to a mac pro 5.1 with sierra and an AMD 280 GPU with a Dvi port. Does anyone have similar experiences with a cinema display? Looking for a solution to fix this....
Chosen Solution I have read so many posts about the 4s wifi/bluetooth problems. Most of them discuss the wifi being greyed out. However, my wifi works just fine and only my bluetooth is greyed out. It happened the day after I tried a Kinovo BTC450 aux connector for the car. I don’t know if having two bluetooth devices connected at one time caused some overheating or a short. I have tried the blowdryer method, system restore via itunes, downloading alternative bluetooth apps to see if anything can connect, deleting all devices from my Pilot’s system and also my phone’s system, changing the name of my phone to one without an apostrophe, etc, etc....
Chosen Solution I have a 65in it’s not a smart tv it has sound but no picture Hi @karebear12 , It may be that there is a LED backlight problem with the TV. Although it could be a different cause that is the problem. Try shining a torch at an angle close to the screen when the TV is on and you have audio, to see if you can detect any images at all on the screen....
Chosen Solution Hi have updated Bios and Drivers, seems a Windows 10 issue, after reboot touchpad works until device boots into windows 10. The bios contains no touchpad setting to change from basic to advanced. Any ideas or pointers would be great. Hi, Things to try: I assume that you toggled the Fn+F7 keys and checked if it turns the touchpad on and off? Try uninstalling the touchpad in Device Manager (right click > Uninstall) and then allowing Windows to “find” it and reinstall it on restart and see if it now works....

The replacement went smoothly but after fiddling around with the phone I found the next issue: Auto brightness setting is now useless, it doesn’t adjust anything on the screen, everything else works perfectly, front facing camera, speaker, proximity sensor. just this one thing, so, any ideas of what could be happening?...
Chosen Solution It seems like the backlight on the left side of the screen is out. Model FVD3934. Just wanna know if there’s a way to fix it cheap or if it would be cheaper to just replace it. BLAST PROCESSING is the left side completely dark it is usually not because of a backlight issue but either a panel, LCD driver or T-con issue etc. You want to post some pictures showing what your display shows as well as your boards and interconnect wiring....

Hi @tb582 Use a soldering iron with some flux and wick to remove the excess solder so the holes would take a new usb port. If you drill it, you will most likely damage the link between those delicate copper rings and the traces....

It’s the connector to the left of the LCD one with a thin white ribbon that goes down to the bottom connector just below the battery. 9 pin ribbon with I guess a 0.3 pitch?.
