Chosen Solution you need a pretty thin metal spudger to pry under it, anything plastic or too flimsy you’ll have problem with if the glue is still strong. If you can get under it at the bottom left a small bit then try pushing around the side with it just make sure you don’t put the spudger too far in to avoid catching internals. or wedge a second spudger or something thin like a guitar pick or something in any gap you can make an then try pry in another spot near it....

Chosen Solution Hi, Recently a heavy object landed on my tablet (samsung galaxy Note 8.0) and the result was that about 1/3 of the display in the middle went black. The whole screen is still touch responsive - the black part also detects touch. My findings: The black part is not dead. It still has some brightness. In the dead part contains some red pixels that are very hardly visible. I have opened the back of the tablet and tried to reconect some connectors (red circles on the second picture) but nothing changed....

Chosen Solution Lately my mouse/pointer moves on up and down on the screen clicking files/apps on its own. When an external mouse is connected the pointer moves very slow. I was programming a motor controller, and the VUSB pin shorted on the 22V lipoly battery, sending 22V back into my poor macbook pro through the right side USB port (next to the HDMI). It instantly shut off. It does not start up now, and the magsafe charger only shows a green LED. Clearly I fried some or all of it. Chosen Solution Everything works but when I make a phone call I can’t hear them and they can’t hear me. Can you hear yourself if you make a voice recording in voice memos? Sounds like you have a bad Audio IC chip which can be related to the “Loop Disease”. I dont know if Apple has officially said anything on this matter but you can research further iPhone 7 Loop Disease and see what fixes may be out there or if Apple is doing anything as far as replacing devices....

Chosen Solution When I turn on air conditioner it smells bad even worse when I turn on heater. Also some type of oil pooling on floorboard driver’s side. The A/C coolant may be leaking! Also, there may be mold/mildew in the pipes, which would explain why it stinks. Probably is located in the heater core, since you state it gets worse when the heater is on. Go to an A/C specialist and ask if they can clean it out....

Chosen Solution I just replaced the battery in my SP4 using ifixit’s excellent guide. I have not adhered the screen to the base yet because I wanted to test first. Attached AC power and turned it on. Everything works except it is reporting “Battery not present” and dies as soon as I disconnect AC. Device manager also has nothing under Batteries. Any ideas? Thanks! I recommend confirming the device model for compatibility then checking the connection to the motherboard to make sure that it is secure....

Chosen Solution When reinstalling the battery, do I need to use a specific type of glue or can I use any type? You could use any type, but I would not recommend that. What you should use is the adhesive made for it, if you can find any online, and use that. OR you can use glue specially made for phones. Hope this helps!

Chosen Solution So what happened was the display fell out while in use. I guess it wasn’t secured by the previous repair guy. What happened after it all got plugged back in was no power and no chime. I took a look at 2 connectors had been torn slightly, but enough the cable didn’t sit all the way in. So I started with replacing the logic board because I don’t have experience soldering board components....

Chosen Solution After carefully removing screen and replacing the fusion with a mercury ssd, the iMac boots with a black screen and takes five minutes to get to sign in screen. Thereafter it works perfectly. I tried booting from and external ssd drive with clean Mojave os, with same result. After the iMac runs for an hour or so and is shut down, I can reboot with same black screen but only takes a minute to reach sign in....

Chosen Solution Hello, i’m getting to a no end and i will try to add as much information as i can. I have an iPhone 5S to repair, the start problem was no touch. The board was water damage sticker in red so i have clean the board in a ultrasonic cleaner. After that as LCD replacement didn’t help i’ve reflow the touch IC U12, which solve the touch problem, but after a short time backlight gone [I never connect stuff with battery in], it have image, touch continue to work as the iPhone....

Chosen Solution Someone inserted a needle into the calls microphone hole that is next to charger input, since that the microphone doesn’t work and i think it’s broken. Hi @drmo20 It’s easier to simply replace the charge port board as the microphone is located on it. Here’s a video that shows what to do. Search online for Samsung A52 5G charge port, mic sub board to find suppliers that suit you best....

Chosen Solution Camera on Iphone SE 2020 from Iphone 8 or from Iphone XR ? I think we will have to wait until ifixit posts their teardown. They posted a video on YouTube saying their written review would be up Monday and they would be looking at the camera sensor. In a different teardown I watched today, the person puts an iPhone 8 camera module into the SE 2020 body and it still is functional....

Chosen Solution White light flashes but wont power up!!! power button was held 1min repeatedly still nothing??? Hi @juliedf Try a power refresh and check if this resolves the problem. Remove the battery from the phone and then press and hold the Power On button operated for a full 30 seconds and then release it.
