Chosen Solution Hi all, I have a new Macbook but also a 2012 Thunderbolt display. The Macbook only has a USB-C port and I was wondering if anyone has come across people replacing the Thunderbolt display’s Mini Display cable with a USB-C one. Is this even possible? Any Mini Display-to-USB-C adaptors were very quickly (and suspiciously…) discontinued shortly after they were released in 2015. Any advice or info would be much appreciated....

Chosen Solution Can I swap display assemblies of different colors within the same model? Over the years, I have replaced many a Macbook Pro/Air display assembly. Occasionally, this has meant using an alternate color when the desired color was unavailable (ie: replaced a space gray with a silver one). I just did such a swap with the 2021 Macbook Pro 14-inch (a2442), after being unable to locate a silver one to match the original one that was damaged....

Chosen Solution Could I take the disc drive out of the blue ray player and hook it up to my custom build pc? I want to do this since I already have a blueray player build in to the xbox one. and I want to watch blueray discs on my pc. I have a 2010 samsung BP model If you have an HDMI input port and the software to read that input, it could work....

Chosen Solution I have 2x4 rams and upgrade it to 2x8. The 2x4 doesnt have any problems, you can switch it or whatever. And the 2x8, i can use them both on slot 1, but cant use them on slot 2( make my pc wont boot) And now because i cant use the 8gb ram on slot 2, im just using 8gb on slot 1 and 4gb on slot 2. Can anyone tell me, how to fix this pls....

Chosen Solution im using my lenovo 3000 G430 laptop recently im facing a problem..! wi fi and Bluetooth in my lappy dont never turns on. i tried a method posted in the web but it doesnt work (i.e. BIOS setting and turn the SATA to IDE) curent os windows 7 can anyone provide me a better solution???? click start-> search for Device manager -> find your bluetooth and wifi adapter and enabe it [it is mostly in network adapters section] If it is already enabled : click start-> search for Device manager -> find your bluetooth and wifi adapter -> Right click and uninstall the device driver [NOTE- do not delete the driver software] -> Restart your device [your device driver will get installed automatically] If still doesn’t help, try updating drivers ....

Chosen Solution I have a 2012 Macbook Air model A1466 that needs a new logic board. PowerbookMedic shows that loads of 13” MBA’s use the A1466 logic board, starting from Mid 2012 to Mid 2017 models. Does this mean I could use any of these logic boards in the 2012 MBA? Has anyone done any upgrades with newer logic boards on older MBA’s? Apple tends to switch up their part designs so I don’t think a MBA 2017 lobo would work in a 2012....

Chosen Solution Hi, I accidentally put a 12v charger into my xb30. Now when I put in the right charger the battery indication turns on for about a minute then turns of. the middle buttons on top doesn’t work and the lights doesn’t turn on. Chosen Solution There seems to be no source for a new battery for this controller. Seems ridiculous. Mine sat plugged in for a couple months and is dead. Chosen Solution How much would it cost to repair a bent corner? The top right corner is bent and it doesn’t close correctly, so the aluminum of the bent part touches the bottom right aluminum. I would like to know the price to fix this minimal damage. Sadly the MacBook Air displays are hard to open as you would need to remove the glass and LCD screen before even attempting to bend back the corner as you would likely damage them if they aren’t already cracked....

Chosen Solution Not sure how this happened maybe after I opened my PS4 and replaced the thermal paste because my PS4 was constantly crashing/freezing. Afterwards never happened again but it was louder. Original thermal paste was dried out and cracked only aprox year after I got it. I tried to play new game couple months later Fallout 4 no dice unreadable disc. I usually only buy digital games since they install fully on console anyways....

Chosen Solution I mainly use my MacBook as a desktop, so I keep it closed and connected to external monitor, keyboard, trackpad, and speakers most of the time. There was no damage done to it — it’s mostly at the same spot on my desk, I don’t even touch it usually, and it did work perfectly fine the previous time I used the built-in display around a month ago. What I tried so far that didn’t help: Opening it up and removing any dustDisconnecting the battery in the process, which most likely caused the SMC to resetOpening it once again, disconnecting and reconnecting the LVDS cable to the logic board....
