Chosen Solution I just replaced the battery and screen on my Motorola Z3. It’s not my first time working on devices and this wasn’t too difficult. After putting it back together it charged a little and then quit charging. I’ve tried multiple chargers and left it for hours, but it won’t charge. I dug into it and the battery temp is stuck at -48C, so I’m guessing that’s the issue. Anyone know where the thermistor is on this thing?...

Chosen Solution My IPhone 5 died one night and I haven’t been able to turn it on since. Every time I plug it in the apple logo comes up but then turns off and then back on etc… Also my power button is broken so I can’t do a hard reset like most people. Chosen Solution I’ve just had gotten another replacement logic board for my 2009 25.1" iMac. I press the power button and I hear the chime. The LCD screen lights up white, then goes black (yet I can tell that it’s still backlit). The official tech manual claims the logic board has 4 LEDs at the bottom, but there are only 3, and all 3 are lit up. I’ve tried resetting the PRAM, but nothing happens....

Chosen Solution I have a Panasonic TH-60AS700A tv and bugs keep getting into the screen. over time they sometimes disappear but I have a couple of persistent ones that have hung around. They aren’t moving just seem to have died on the spot. When they originally started appearing I spoke to Panasonic (while it was in warranty) thinking they were dead pixels but was unsure, and once I mentioned that they could be bugs they said they could get a technician to have a look but if they were bugs it wouldn’t be warranty and they’d charge me....

Chosen Solution Can I use a iphone 6s plus sim card reader on a 6plus? No they are Variants. the sim contact points on the boards are a different widths. if you have no other option it is possible to botch a connection but far better to replace any part like for like. sim tray faults only occur from customer damage or corrosion. if the sim is not registering it is most likely a modem issue....
Chosen Solution So my tv started shutting down to standby after a few seconds on being on. Only the red led light stays on but to turn it back on (only for two seconds) you have to power it off and on manually (button). It’s a Panasonic Th-50pz70b. I can post some pictures of it (with the back off). @newbtofixit could be an issue with the power board. Chosen Solution My iPhone 5s fell in the pool. Tried to dry it out by letting it sit for 72 hours in rice, but the phone was still stuck in a boot loop. So I ordered a new ifixit battery, disassembled, soaked the logic board in isopropyl alcohol, dried it, installed new battery and reassembled the phone. And it works (almost) perfectly, except it does not recognize the (good) SIM card (as tested in another phone)....
Chosen Solution Vehicle won’t start. Has spark etc. Just won’t start Fuel pump failures uncommon on these vehicles from my experience. First thing I would do is remove a spark plug, if it is black or wet with fuel, hold accelerator pedal to the floor while attempting to start engine, release after 10 seconds. Start engine no longer than 20 seconds at a time. Holding the pedal to the floor places ecm in clear flood mode by cutting off the injectors....

Chosen Solution Hello, I need some guidance. I was filling the tank but I dropped the funnel and spilled water outside the water compartment and into the storage compartment. Water started to pour out from the sides of the unit and from the bottom. I haven’t turned the unit on since I don’t know if I should wait to that water to dry. What should I do? Chosen Solution I am overseas and forgot to use a down converter to plug in my American Farberware percolator. I consequently blew it out, and I’m wondering if there is a way to fix it. Is there a fuse I can replace? Amy cook could be a (thermal)fuse as well as a couple of other things (filter capacitor, thermostat, etc. are a good possibility).
